Sit in His Presence
Read: "Blessed is the child who does not sit in the seat of scornful." Psalm 1:1 NKJ (This means that you will be happy if you do not join in when people are saying bad things about God or saying mean words to each other.)
Think: What do you do when your friends are gossiping about other kids in your school? How would you feel if they were talking about you? Have you ever heard people mock God by using His Name in the wrong way? What did you say when you heard this?
Pray: Ask the Lord to forgive you for any words you have spoken that caused others to be hurt. Ask Him to help you speak true and loving words to everyone. Thank Him for His Word and the wonderful peace that comes when you read His Word and pray. Sit and be still, enjoy His Presence.
Listen: Listen to the Lord as He speaks to you through His Word, your
parents, your pastor, and your teacher.
