You Can be the Answer to Your Prayers
Read: "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matthew 5:16 (NKJV)
Think: Do you know of a neighbor who has a need? Is there a family whose father is sick or has lost his job? Is there a child who is ill and a tired mother who needs some help with meals? Does one of the neighborhood children need help with his/her studies?
Pray: Ask the Lord to show you what you can do to be a servant to your neighbors. Ask your parents to join with you in this prayer. If you work together your family can be a great blessing to your neighbors. Pray for those in need and then ACT.
Act: Now put action to your prayers. Here is one idea: Start a food drive in your neighborhood. Gather your neighbors together and choose a family to support. Then get out your red wagons and collect canned goods and non-perishables on a weekly/monthly basis. While you are collecting pray for the families who will be receiving the food. Pray a blessing upon those who are willing to give.
Note: Try to think of more ideas. It doesn't have to be a big project, just follow the leading of the Lord and the directions of your parents. Be a blessing wherever you can. Go Back
