Dear Friends,

This is your invitation to help us raise the standard of civility in a society, where disrespect and anger have taken root in the hearts and minds of the people.

What does civility mean to you? For me civility means listening to my conscience but if you prefer a more formal definition: “Civility is a conscious act or refrain, that contributes to the smoothness and ease of social interaction in a volatile society.”

Sivilite.com not only gives definition to civility but also provides the following simple process to help your youth group, school, church or organization to bridge the gap between mind and action.

Sound it Out
In our everyday life we rarely think about what we read, see, and do. Sound it Out becomes a discipline, a reminder to take the time to read the situation.

Think it Out
We have always been told to think before we speak. Think it Out allows us to process the situation and respond in a proper way. “In today’s society we all have different ways of thinking. Sometimes when these differences collide we tend to respond negatively. When we think it out we ensure that our actions toward each other will have been thought out rather than spat out.” This campaign for
(si-vil’i-te) reminds us of our responsibility to each other.

Live it Out
It’s a life change not a diet. By living it out we make a decision to make the effort to change, not just for a moment but for eternity. Sivilite.com is a community of people devoted to developing ways to Live it Out and thereby making a difference in society.

Here are some ways that your group can Live it Out.
1. Begin by making a decision. Read and sign the Contract for (si-vil’i-te) found on the web site.
2. Give (si-vil’i-te) a voice by wearing (si-vil’i-TEEs) and hats.
3. Create an add campaign for (si-vil’i-te).
4. Start a (si-vil’i-te) club in your local community. By providing a place where you can talk about issues, tell stories of (si-vil’i-te), and develop ways to reach out to your community you can Live it Out.

We look forward to your participation in this very important campaign. If you have any questions or would like to talk about hosting a (si-vil’i-te) week in your church, school, or business please let us know.
Sincerely,

Mark Story/Campaign Founder
